물론 '가격이 오르기전', '세일기간', '크리스마스'에 쇼핑하는거 당연한거구요,,,^^

거기다 정부보조(handouts)도 있고한데 이 정도의 잠깐 소비심리 회복조차없다면?

 

그렇다고 호주경기가 리테일러들에게 못 느낄 정도라는거 이해하기 힘들군요..^^

뭐 그런분들이 우리교민들에게 많은거 나쁜건 아니니깐 좋은소식이네요..^^

제가 이런분들이 많이 계시다는거 안믿는거 아니구여...^^

 

하지만 분명한건 거시경제 관점에서

건설경기악화로 일자리없고, 렌트에 영향을 주고

중국의 원자재 수요약화로 WA 경기가 죽어가고,

적어도 내년 상반기까지 어렵다는게 일반적인 상식으로 통합니다..^^

 

글구 한국얘기 안하는데 또 말도안되는 소리 들고나와서 시비걸지마시구여..^^

솔직히 그런 업자님들만 불쌍해 보이니깐여...^^

Bleak Christmas ahead for

 

retailers: Access Economics

 

 

Economic consultancy firm Access Economics has issued a bleak forecast for retailers, saying the long downturn in the sector is not over yet.

 

It says consumers will remain subdued until mid-next year, with retail sales to fall by 0.1 per cent this financial year.

 

The year after, it is forecasting that retail sales will grow by only 0.9 per cent.

Access Economics director David Rumbens says the risk for retailers is that households will react to the economic gloom by rapidly boosting their savings.

"It's been bad news for retailers all year," he said.

 

"It started out being from high interest rates. That picture has turned, it's now the financial crisis which is turning into a real economic crisis."

 

The firm says the Government's cash handouts to households will not be enough to save the retail sector from a bleak Christmas.

 

Mr Rumbens says he expects half of the Government's handouts to be spent now and the rest over the coming months.

 

But he says households are consumed by the gloom of falling stocks, house prices and job insecurity.

 

"The stimulus package from the Government will help but it's not going to completely offset the bad news we're getting elsewhere," he said.

 

"Consumers are on strike in terms of their shopping so we're going to see a lot of the extra money being given out being saved anyway."
