(Dayshift and Nightshift positions available)

$62,814 per annum plus super  Permanent, full-time

Together, we are moving through a once in a generation transformational change and are seeking the support of Sanitation/Street Cleaning Workers in our dayshift and nightshift crews to provide essential services to the community that include street cleaning, waste collection and waste disposal services.

The successful candidates will support the City by:

• Maintaining a high level of cleanliness, performing waste collection duties and driving the City’s waste collection vehicles
• Actively promoting responsible waste minimisation and recycling to City of Perth businesses, residents and visitors
• Delivering outstanding service and establishing a reputation of customer service excellence

To succeed in this position, you will need:

• A strong work ethic, a positive attitude and a high level of commitment and willingness to help during busy periods
• The ability to safely perform a range of physical tasks and duties as directed, in a safe and efficient manner
• A strong understanding of occupational health and safety in terms of personal responsibility and public safety
• Knowledge of correct manual handling practices
• A current HR class licence with demonstrated experience

Experience operating a side loader is highly desirable but not essential.
