AUSTRALIA'S migrant intake could be adjusted to take account of changed economic circumstances, Prime Minister Kevin Rudd says.

 

캐빈이 말하길, 호주이민자수가 경제상황 변화에 따라 수정될 수 있다고 하네요.

 

Mr Rudd said the current immigration rate was an increase on the previous year.

He said that increase was to meet employer demands for more skilled workers, particularly in mining and resource intensive Western Australia and Queensland.

 

현 이민율이 지난해보다 증가했고,

그로인해 고용수요를 충족했답니다.

특히, 땅파서 장사하는 웨스튼이나 퀸슬랜드쪽에서...쩝..

 

"As with all previous governments, and mine's the same, whenever we set immigration targets we will adjust them according to the economic circumstances of the day," he said on the Fairfax Radio Network in Melbourne.

 

이전정부와 만찬가지로, 지도 같다네요...

경제상황에 따라 언제든지 이민정책을 수정해 갈거라고...

The 2008-09 Migration Program is set at 190,300 places, representing a 19.8 per cent increase on the 2007-08 program. The figure includes 56,500 places for family migrants sponsored by people already in Australia and 133,500 places for those with special skills.

 

2008-09 이민정책에서 지난해보다 19.8% 증가한 약 19만명이었고,

수치적으로 5만 6천명이 스폰받은 이민자이고, 13만 3천명이 기술이민이구여..

 

But that has now been criticised as excessive in a period of economic turmoil.

Mr Rudd said immigration was not on-e-size-fits-all across the country and the government would take advice on where skilled workers were needed.

 

그러나 현재 경제악화로 인해 이민자를 지나치게 많이 수용했다는

비판에 직면해 왔습니다....해서

캐빈은 이민이 한곳으로 쏠리지 않도록,

정부는 기술자가 필요한 곳에 공급할거라고 했네요...
