편협에 빠지신 분들이 많은듯 하여 확실히 해두고자 또 글 남깁니다..

 

편협(偏狹/?狹)이란??

한쪽으로 치우쳐 도량이 좁고 너그럽지 못함. ^^

 

 

뭐 전 한국교육이 문제가 없거나 완벽하다는 얘길하고 싶은게 아님을 알아주시길,,

호주교육 어쩌고 하면서 사실과 근거에서 벗어난 현실을 말하는 것에 대한 반론이죠..

그리고 거기에 왜? 말도안되게 한국교육을 폄하하는냐??ㅋㅋㅋ

편협에 빠져서 허우적되는게 안타깝기도 하구여..^^

 

물론 이건 어디랑 비교하는 문제가 아닙니다...

'도덕적 수치'인 호주 교육시스템이라는 하나의 문제점을 얘기하는 겁니다.

 

물론, 만족한다. 아니다는 사람들이 다 존재하죠,,,,

하지만 그건 견해이지 사실아닙니다.

사실은 호주교육으론 세계경쟁력에서 수준이 떨어진다 겁니다.

왜냐면 최소기준(minimum benchmarks)에도 못미치는게 현실이니깐여,,

지식층들 일수록 이미 문제의 심각성을 다 알고있구여...

어디 업자들도 아니고 아닌 사실은 아닌거죠,,,포장할 필요없는 문제입니다..

뭐 그래도 만족하든? 말든? 그건 개개인의 판단이니 알아서 하시구여..^^

 

그럼 개개인의 판단기준이 될만한 위치에 있는 애들의 말을 들어볼까요??

루퍼트 할아버지의 호주 교육비판을 뒷받침하고 나섰죠....

뿐만아니라 호주의 많은 지식층들 역시 루퍼트의 비판을 인정했습니다..

 

문제가 있으니 캥거루정부도 교육개혁이니? 하는거 아닙니까??ㅋㅋ

 

JULIA Gillard has backed News Corporation chairman Rupert Murdoch's criticisms of Australia's education system.

In the Boyer Lecture series on ABC Radio National, Mr Murdoch said although Australians prided themselves on equality, many children were not being properly educated.

The Education Minister said yesterday he was right to express concern at the quality of teaching in some schools.

"I think Rupert Murdoch is making a lot of sense," she said.

"We know from recent evidence we aren't helping the highest-achieving kids the most and we continue to have what's referred to as a long tail of disadvantage.

"That is, kids who don't reach minimum benchmarks and more likely than not they come from poor homes."

Ms Gillard said the Government was determined to ensure all children could get a good education.

International media mogul Rupert Murdoch has made a scathing review of Australian public education, saying the failing education system was “a moral scandal” and government and businesses should aggressively push for higher standards and equal opportunity.

 

Mr Murdoch, the CEO of News Corp, voiced his concern over the faltering education system during the fourth of his six Boyer Lectures titled Fortune favours the smart.

 

He said Australia in the race of public education was already lagging

 

behind counties such as Finland, Korea and Singapore, and should

 

set much higher expectations for students, teachers and schools.

호주교육이 다른 나라들 보다 수준이 떨어지고 있는데...

 

그 대표적 나라들로 핀란드, 한국, 싱가폴로 예를 들고 있습니다..

 

사실, 핀란드나 싱가폴은 도시국가?같은 인구가 적은 국가들입니다..

 

그렇담,,,한국은요?ㅋㅋ

 

현실을 직시하고 사실을 왜곡하지 맙시다..^^ 그럼..

 

“Despite spending more and more money, our children seem to be learning less and less ? especially for those who are most vulnerable in our society.

“At the very least, setting higher standards means we ought to demand as much quality and performance from those who run our school as we do from those who provide us with our morning cup of coffee,” he said.

He said while Australians had popularised the word ‘egalitarian’, it was getting harder to square Australian pride in equality with the realities of its public education.

“Whether urban or rural, no government of any decent society should be effectively writing off whole segments of the population by refusing to confront a failing education bureaucracy.

“We need to stop making excuses for schools and school systems that are failing the very children they are meant to serve,” he said.

Despite the argument that ‘MacDonaldisation’ is cutting much of the need for calculation in the name of efficiency, he said the new technology would only replace tedious tasks, making harder for unskilled workers to find a job.

“Ultimately, fighting the new and better technology is a fool’s errand.

“That means that there will be fewer and fewer satisfying jobs for people without skills. In the new economy, the people that companies are craving ? and are willing to pay for ? are people who add valued to their enterprises,” he said.

Mr Murdoch also said businesses should stop delegating their role in education reforms to government, as they knew better than government officials the essential skills for the future.

“Many companies devote a large part of their giving to higher education. At the very critical levels of primary and secondary education, there is much less corporate participation,” he said.

“Companies need to take a more active part in working with government to ensure that the schools are giving people an education. As business leaders, we know how unprepared too many young people are for the working world.”

He warned without immediate action to lift the standards of schools, Australian society would eventually pay the increase price in social dysfunction, welfare, healthcare and crime.

“We spend too much time on avoiding failure. The real answer is to start pursuing success.

“The failure of these schools is more than a waste of human promise, and a drain on our future workforce. It is a moral scandal that no one should tolerate,” Mr Murdoch said.

호주의 공교육을 말한건데 공립학교 대부분이 물론 가끔 잘나가는 공립학교있죠.하지만 일반적으로 호주의 공립학교들이 수준이 좀 떨어지는거 저도 인정해요.한국은 교육열도 높고 사립이 많지않고 거의 공립이고 수준도 비슷하게 가르키는것같고요..근데 호주 사립학교는 굉장히 다릅니다.돈도 많이 내는것도 있지만 수업방식이나 커리큘럼,인원수 (15-18정도),액티비티등 정말 훌륭해요. 08.12.12

솔직히 왠만한 지식인 호주애들이 애들 공립학교보냅니까.5섯살만되어서 사립 프렙과정들어가면 만달러내야하는데 공립은 평생 로콜애갠 공짜고..돈많고 지식인 애들도 명문사립보내지요.공립학교수준다아는데...여기서도 교육열높은 호주인들 다 사립보냅니다. 08.12.12

그러니 머독도 그런말 한거아닙니까.교육의 질이 공평하지 않다는거죠.사립과 공립학교가..돈도 사립이 훨씬비싸니 가진자는 더 좋은 질의 학교를 애들한테 보내는거고..돈없는 사람들은 공립보내는거고..그거아세요? ㅎㅎ한국도 요새 사립학교가 늘어가는 추세더군요.그추세가 계속되면 한국사회어떻게될지...눈앞이 깜깜해요. 08.12.12

제가 왜아냐면 저희조카들이 한국에서 월오십만원넘는 사립학교다니거든요.거기다 덧붙여지는 돈도 많구요.그런데 매년 들어올려는 사람이 많아서 미어집니다.왜냐면 항시 반에 외국인 담임과 한국담임이 상주해서 같이 수업을 가리키니까.소문에소문에 사립이 잘되는거알고 돈있는 사람들 사립세우기시작하는데...이제 5년후에 봅시다.한국사립이 얼마나 늘어날지.. 08.12.12

그리고 그러수밖에 없는게 사립학교애들은 비싼수업료를 받는대신 그만큼 시설이나 교육에 쓰고요.선생님들한테도 월급 많이 주는대신 능력있는 선생님들 어서오십시오~지요 ㅎㅎ 생각들 해보시면 당연하지않겠어요? 그러니 좋은 선생님들밑에서 배우게되는거고... 08.12.12

머독이라는 사람 아니더라도 일반인인 내가봐도 호주 공립초등학교에서 벌어지는 일만 들어도 한숨나오는데..(호주 공립초등학교에서 수학 오답이 정답이라는 선생님도 있다는데 ㅋ)머독이 사립과 공립이 너무 차이나보이는데(경제적으로나 교육적인 질적인면에서나) 내눈에도 그렇긴해요.그거 호주에서 몰랐던 사람있나요?ㅎㅎ 세삼스럽게시리.... 08.12.12

나도 미성년자 였음 얼마나 좋을까요,,,후회되는 인생을 살지는 않을 테니까요..머독은 미국 시민권자로서 진정한 오지는 아니지요,,,크리스님도 나름대로 가치관이 있겟지만,,,제 느낌에는 너무 공격적이라는 것에요,,,제가 여기 오는 이유는 나름대로 저 호주에 잘 정착해서 살고 그러기에 어려운 문제에 당면한 유학생이나 워홀들을 현실적으로 도와주고 싶어서에요,,호주방이 그래서 있는 것 아닌가요? 08.12.11

글구 내생각을 쓰는건 확실히 개인적 견해라고 얘기하지요..OECD, TIMSS, 루퍼트, 교육부 등등의 자료는 객관적으로 올려주는거고,,내가 틀린말 했으면 왜 틀린지를 설명하면되지 않나요...늘 말하지만 이 아저씨가 막힌 사람도 아니고,,,^^ 08.12.11

비교는 수준과 특성이 비슷해야 하는 것입니다. 호주와 한국은 수준과 특성도 완전히 다른 각각의 국가이며 우리는 서로의 장점은 취하고 단점은 버려야 하겠지요.그리고 크리스님 우리도 모국인 한국 사랑하고 잘 되길 빕니다 그러니 혼자만 애국자라는 착각은 안하셔도 되요.그리고 진정한 애국자라면 동포애가 있어야 하지 않을까요?의견이 다른 사람들이 곧 적은 아닙니다...정말 제가 이런 말까지 해야하는지...혹시 미성년자 아닌가요? 08.12.11
